We had an editorial shoot entitled #SuperProfesh in which we highlighted various powerful women and their fashion choices, their inspiration, and what made them tick. Sophie was a super talented tattoo artist who was a joyful, bohemian soul. She was soft, her fashion retro hippy era, and she travelled (and smiled) often. Everything in her home and studio reflected how deeply committed she was to her craft and to art.
After speaking with her and seeing the clothes she chose, I really wanted to showcase her freedom, her joy, and the ethereal levity she carried with her. I wanted to have glowing, haunting images; some gold and some deeper shades of green.
I wanted to evoke mystery combined with a summery playfulness that to me really displayed her artistry and joy simultaneously.
