The creative space to me is, in it’s purest form, about telling stories. So that’s what I want to do! Give all of of our stories a place; keep it as accessible as possible; open doors where I can.
I love and deeply respect the different forms of storytelling, whether it’s design or animation or comics or photography or whatever you like to do. They’re all a medium for a bigger picture to tell the greatest stories ever told, even the ones that get less of the limelight.
Art is great; we can all use it in some form or the other.
I’ve been lucky enough to have worked around design, illustration, photography, and animation; this has kept my career incredibly fulfilling and keeps me constantly humbled by new areas of craft. I’ve worked for years in art directing and sourcing illustrators for editorial pieces, books, and animation; I’ve worked in art direction of both food and editorial subjects; I’ve worked in product in the form of websites and apps; I’ve animated, shot, illustrated, and designed on my own as well. I like to collaborate and I like to create in any way I can get my hands on.
Apart from this, I GUESS I like other things, too: languages, salsa dancing, The Legend of Zelda, Bollywood, pie (if you’re in Brooklyn, NY, please check out The Blue Stove. You will not regret it).
